I the notifications area of my phone, this little eye symbol (screenshot attached) appeared some time ago, and I have no idea of its meaning.

Do you remember Game of Thrones?

The TV-series with truly cool dragons many of us first loved and then hated with equal passion, when the scripts turned into total crap?!

A late highlight of the series was, IMO, the fight between Brienne and the Hound (unlike Arya vs. Brienne, which was complete shite). This was epic.

Swedish astronomer, physicist, and mathematician Anders Celsius died in 1744.

In 1742, Celsius introduced the temperature scale that bears his name. His original scale was actually the reverse of what we use today: it set the boiling point of water at 0 degrees & the freezing point at 100 degrees. However, shortly after his death, the scale was reversed by Carl Linnaeus, resulting in the 0 degrees for freezing & 100 degrees for boiling that we are familiar with.

@dgar Astronauts lose bone density due to weightlessness, one can achieve quite similar results by having a sedentary lifestyle.

And you probably smoke too, right? And that'll get the same amount of ionising radiation. 160,000 microsieverts /yr

@kaia I've stopped buying things online for the same reason.

Apart from electronics from popular brands on huge discounts, I've stopped shopping on the Everything Store or any other similar web store.

I am fortunate to live in a big city and have access to physical stores where the prices are more or less the same and I don't have to worry about boxes and tracking shipments. And extremely environmentally unfriendly return shipping.

I'm so excited about this upcoming space mission.

NASA has just confirmed that the Dragonfly octocopter will launch in July, 2028. When it arrives, it will spend at least two years flying over the organic-rich sands of Titan, Saturn's largest moon.

@grb090423 I need to remind myself often it was called the Cassini-Huygens Mission!!

Cassini taking all the shine and recognition with spectacular images of Saturn and its moons... (my fav is the plumes of Enceledus).

The uncomming moon mission like the Europa Clipper scouting the surface is exciting but to see one land on another world makes it so more special!
