Here's a fun AI story: a security researcher noticed that large companies' AI-authored source-code repeatedly referenced a nonexistent library (an AI "hallucination"), so he created a (defanged) malicious library with that name and uploaded it, and thousands of developers automatically downloaded and incorporated it as they compiled the code:

I started uploading some old and dj/live-sets/-mixes to archive.org because they are no use just sitting here on my HD.

Mostly stuff I downloaded from various sources around 2005-11 for now, from Bong-Ra, Enduser, Shitmat, C64, Venetian Snares etc. Good times for some hash amen choppage .

Fuck . I buy everything on and download the mp3s so I can listen offline when I'm on a plane or a boat or wherever there is no network.
I also scrobble on last.fm like in the old days, so here's my top albums and artists of 2023.

BoxCutter clearly wins, cause he's in there twice. 😂 Discovery of 2023 for me.

Also congrats to @firnwald for making some great fucking music and giving it away for free. 😍

I often see Bandcamp release with just a single track in it. I tend to skip those, as I like to get albums, and a chunk of music at once, instead of having to download/organize a bunch of single releases.

How do you people feel about this?

Does anyone have an idea why Bing refuses to index my site, while other search engines like Google or Yandex don't have any issues doing so?
Bing webmaster tools tell me only vague general reasons why it wouldn't work, and none of them are valid.

If you are on Windows and you want to control 2 PC's with a single mouse and keyboard, then you should check out Mouse Without Borders. It's a great piece of software that allows you to do just that without the need of any extra hardware.

    @flockofnazguls The catch is that you have to check the license for each sample you find.
    Some are very liberal, others not so. Most of them are CC-licensed, but if you end up using a lot of samples, your attribution list is going to be quite long. 😁

    Messing with Faircamp in a Docker image on Windows, and I'm actually managing to get a site built. This might be an easy way to get it running on Windows too.

    Alright, here it is. A Docker container with the Faircamp app, and a small project with a Windows shell script to easily run it on your local machine, and build your music catalog.

    You need to install Docker Desktop (or some other way to start Docker containers) to be able to use this, but that's probably easier than setting up WSL.

    It's all in the readme. I hope it makes sense for non-techies. 😁
