@Edent Bellwether, by Connie Willis. Fiction about a researcher who investigates fads for her job, and a gentle satire of the increasingly silly world we find ourselves in (though some of those foibles are specific to the time it was written, the 1990s).

Whether I read it for the first time or fifth, it remains delightful.

Anyone else's phone to phone transfer taking a crazy amount of time this year? I only have ~200gb of data, but it's estimating 6 hours to move that, which is like 10x longer than past years.

Does anyone know (or know of) organizations working on wolf reintroduction in the Mountain West (Rockies/CA/PNW)? Either on the policy side or (even better) on the practical, paws-on-the-ground work.

I'm aware of (and admire) the Yellowstone Wolf Project, and the International Wolf Center in Ely MN, and am looking for organizations doing similar work in California, Colorado, the PNW, etc.

    I have no connection to London 🇬🇧 but I love watching “London Cycle Routes”. Each video is a different route from one neighborhood to another. He emphasizes low stress streets and trips where a bicycle is faster than transit.

    @weirdwriter I love DRM-free books. I buy all my books on Kobo, and most of them have DRM, but at the bottom of the purchase webpage some of them say “Download options: EPUB 3 (DRM-Free)” 😃
