Erstaunlich, wie man das Muster „Negative Panik clickbait“ auch hier findet. Ja, die Instanzen troet.cafe und muenchen.social sollen laut Betreiber geschlossen werden. Aber zumindest ich und ein paar andere wären bereit die Instanzen weiter zu betreiben. Aber um mich herum nur „OMG WO GEHE ICH JETZ HIN“ statt „wie retten wir die Instanzen“. Le sigh.

Is there any way to switch identity providers on a account? Either from e.g. on SSO provider to another, or from an SSO provider to another auth mechanism? Struggling to figure this out.

swipe-to-reply and swipe-to-edit are great features. doing things on mobile typically takes too long compared to on desktop, and these help fix that. I’ve had them on for a long time and I use them very frequently

Browser privacy update

More good news! In the latest issue of http://PrivacyTests.org, we can see that Opera on Desktop has now shipped the State Partitioning protections recently developed and deployed by the Chromium team.

These State Partitioning protections keep data from leaking between websites. That makes it harder for trackers to gather your browsing history.

@privacytests the fact that chrome and now @Vivaldi ship this makes their statement (https://web.archive.org/web/20221003174703/https://vivaldi.com/security/common-questions/#privacytests) about privacytests.org even more annoying. Honestly they should have just stood to the fact that its not their priority. Its okay that its not, but don't be weird about it ;D
I respect the company for most things they do, they are really awesome, but this statement just was a low for me.

I am confused why, wouldn't hydrogen be less costly on resources like lithium and reduce co2 from producing batteries and we wouldn't have to deal with the batteries once they are eol?
I mean fair, hydrogen isn't produced without co2, but electricity isn't either.

I'd be thankful for an explanation, maybe Iam just stupid ;D
