Tried to use generative AI to create a trip report. Ugh. What a disaster. I mean, it's like spewing marketing spak at me. Had to make extensive changes.

I think it saved me some time by giving me a general outline of the report. Otherwise, meh.

Was thinking about this discussion about portals. I suspect that we'er going to need an "AI" portal in order to manage connections to AI chat services. I'm not sure how one would design such a thing. I had envisioned an app that I could write that lets me take notes of a phone call and then use local generative AI setup to send and receive using a specific "generate summary" or something specific.

This lets us use some of the utilitarian parts of gen AI.

Does your public library use Overdrive/Libby for ebooks or audiobooks? ⚠️

In the US and Canada, the answer is probably yes. And you should speak to your library staff and commission about it.

I’m done w/ people who do that.

I’m fine with genuine RATIONAL POLITE disagreements or criticism. I have to point that out since I’ve been accused of/blocked for intolerance of diff opinions👈🏼which I’ve always welcomed

@anirvan One thing that struck me about Modi and him doing the ceremony at Ram Temple is how much he has presented himself as a Hindu spiritual leader as well.

That seems off to me as politics is opposite of spirituality in my opinion and there should have been a separation.
