@BlackAzizAnansi It's endemic now, might as well learn to live with it. Fortunately, so far it's mutated in ways that made it less deadly. Feels like just another shot to get regularly until a universal vaccine comes out.
How do people spend so much time arguing with strangers on the internet? Whenever someone tries to argue with me I simply transform into a bat and fly off into the night, back from whence I came.
@jeffjarvis Here's hoping that opposing actual fascism will bring the left together on election day. As long as we have first-past-the-post, the incumbent candidate that casts the widest net, and not the most personally exciting candidate, needs to be supported. Otherwise, the greater evil wins.
@RememberUsAlways Haven't they been making war preparations for ~70 years? The Korean War never technically ended, there was no peace treaty signed, only an armistice agreement in 1953. NK's constant sabre rattling just sounds like ineffectual background noise at this point.
HUGE: "DeSantis has rendered 3.3 million Floridians without their elected choice of prosecutor. That means that more than 15% of the people of the state of Florida have had one of their elections nullified unilaterally by the governor."
Deputies asked Jackson to step back at least four times before detaining him so emergency responders could render aid to the girl, the report said.
Chief Deputy Sheriff JC Blackburn said Jackson continued “screaming profanity about the trooper” even after being released from handcuffs, the report said.
“I physically had to hold Congressman Jackson back from going towards Trooper Young,” Blackburn said.
Jackson “continued to yell and scream from inside the vehicle about who he was. Congressman Jackson also stated that he was going to call Governor Abbott” after Blackburn pushed Jackson into the Congressman’s car. ...
“Jackson stated that the deputies used bad judgment, that the situation needed to be investigated, and that there better be consequences,” the sheriff wrote. “He stated that he was not threatening me, but that in the next election he would pull hell and high water and come and ‘bury me in the next election!’ ”
“He ended the conversation with the statement ‘Game on,’ ” the sheriff wrote.
Funny how everyone associated with Trump is a morally bankrupt asshole who believes they are above the law.
His polls have gone up with each indictment. He may feel that getting jailed is his best hope of getting elected and therefore avoiding real prison time.
"What about my vacation?!" is not a very enlightened way to start an article about a town which already has multiple deaths via wildfire, imho. #editorial#journalism#Hawaii#Maui
Let me get this straight. Trump wants the ability to show witness testimony to “volunteer attorneys” on his side? What the hell is a volunteer attorney, one who never gets paid? Isn’t that nearly every attorney who’s ever worked for him?
