Holoplus opened its closed beta test for global and I'm in! (It's basically a company-run social media platform dedicated to Hololive prod. content.)
My expectations were pretty low, but exceeded! I don't have a lot of good experiences with niche community platforms for stuff like this, but, everything is super responsive and functioning! It doesn't seem to be completely based on web views that re-layout constantly as things load in.
My test-post w/ a pic of Smol Ame & Phố got a hundred or so likes which is cool (not that I really need the attention haha)
More importantly, the ability to report, hide, and block is available (haven't tested very much; no need to so far!)
It's not Fediverse, but it's small and very friendly for now. Activity is strong, but it just opened, so we'll see if people keep posting in the days to come~

Not being on Twitter sometimes leaves me feeling a bit out of the loop too, especially when Fes was so quiet in Fediverse this year. It’ll be great to see fan posts and photos on HoloPlus next Fes.

After WWII, the Russians ripped everything from the Soviet occupation zone, which was not absolutely necessary for life to go on.
E.g. thousands of kilometers of train tracks. There are still a lot of regional railway lines with only one track in both directions in eastern parts of Germany, where you can see the old facilities for multiple routes existing.
But was it of any use? They later realized, they have a different gauge. The tracks are still piling up somewhere in Russia.
What in Russia could be of any use for Ukraine?
Industry and economics aren't about coal and steel anymore like 80 years ago. Both still play a role, but reparations need a goal different from punishing.

More than 4 months ago, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court asked me to assist him with evaluating evidence of suspected war crimes & crimes against humanity in #Israel and #Gaza . I agreed and joined a panel of international legal experts to undertake this task. Went to Anime Impulse's first run in Seattle! Showed up to rep Ame as per usual.
Not as community driven as Sakura-con but really enjoyed the VTuber meet and seeing Cover in attendance with the M&G and panel with the Holostars EN boys.

@SirTapTap I've grouped sources together in folders to show/hide them all at once. I do that for my facecam box. I can hide the folder to remove the box or show/hide the cam source to show a stub feed.
I don't know if there's a source that gives an image and text at the same time though.
