Come check out the #wss366 stories today--they're tagged with #shoulder. Join in, if you feel like it! ...No one's used "shoulder" as a verb yet! No one's been cold shouldered... possibilities abound for more #microfiction and #TinyTales using this #prompt!
Write a fabulous first line for a story that is guaranteed to catch /your/ interest and would make you read the story.
Criteria
Fiction, non-fiction, doesn't matter. A good led is as inspiring as a hook.
Doesn't matter if you would actually write the story, but bonus points is you report you did!
Aim for less than 200 characters or 50 words, but a good sentence overrides all other factors!

@sfwrtr "We last died eighty-seven days earlier. As we clutched our baton, its silk-wrapped hilt grounded us in our environment."

I modeled the opener after The Old Man and the Sea.
#Prompt: Somebody hires you to create a live action TV show about catgirls. It can be fiction, non-fiction, reality, game show, or any other format. It can be in any genre. And you have an unlimited budget to hire guest stars. What's your idea?
