Hey I'm Alicia, an artist who really hasn't been feeling social media lately (especially IG and FB) so I thought I'd try Mastodon out and see if I like the simplicity of it more. If you mainly post pictures, you might have a look at Pixelfed. It's basically Instagram but Mastodon style. And you can interact with people from Mastodon.

The best way to meet people is to follow hashtags that interest you, and to join a group or two. I know the people in @fiberarts would love to hear about your projects.
@KathyReid thanks Kathy! Knitting is my biggest weakness in fiber art I think, my mom and sister are great at it but I've been trying to make it click with my brain ever since I was a kid. Maybe one day I'll make more than a scarf haha
