Halfway through February and I'm calling it: we have not had enough precipitation to stave off the extreme drought our Alberta government warned us of in late December and it's a good bet we once again skip directly from our winter, such as it was, directly to summer, giving last year's worst wildfire season in recorded history a run for its money.

Been hearing some chatter about abnormally dry conditions and, barring significant precipitstion, the chance of drought around #Ottawa as well.
