@Dhmspector LOL they seem to be a pro at that. I am unsure if they just don't want to scare people or if they are truly climate change denying, LOL.
Wall Street Journal I can see with the denial (given their focus on "economy" and "profits", the planet be damned)... But NY Times, I do wonder why they constantly take that angle. Though, they also do the whole: "There's an eclipse this week: WHY THIS IS BAD FOR BIDEN" thing...
@ai6yr I think they’re, like all modern reporting outlets, worshiping at the altar of the cult of false objectivity because it gives them access to the right wingers who wouldn’t talk to them before if they just covered the story without making it “balanced.”
Also, modern “reporters” long ago gave anything but a fig leaf of journalistic ethics and kiss up to right wingers because they want to be in with and liked by the moneyed class.
@Dhmspector Definitely some of that. Having been significantly involved in one side of journalism myself, I can say there's a lot of "I have lots of money and am important, you can't write something like that about me/my company" going around (with definite impacts on access to information as a result, if you fail to toe the line).
