Does anyone else still use this ancient relic? Went back and notice that I've been scrobbling since 2012 and have racked up a whopping 144,489 scrobbles 😱
I am slowly migrating to Listenbrainz (which is directly coupled with Musicbrainz's awesome database). It can import my Last.fm history. Right now, I scrobble to both (with cmus), but I still think that I'll leave Last.fm some day. Its free tier has become annoying to use.
@david_senate I used it extensively from 2007-2011 and only recently picked it up again after a recommendation by @nfd. Now I’m a paid ‘pro’ user, happily scrobbling along and really enjoying tracking my music stats again!
@david_senate I used it right after Napster went off the air, which must have been 2002. 🤷♂️
Pandora became my main service in 2008, when my new DVD player included an app for it. Last.fm and Pandora were both somewhat unsatisfactory, I found, so I got bored with them and didn’t use them all that frequently. Apple Music took over some time around 2016.
If I ever had a Last.fm login, it would have been saved in Firefox for Windows, and I don’t use either of those anymore.
@david_senate I loved it until it was bought by CBS or another brand and either I couldn't use it anymore or they started to charge. Either way in 2006-2007 I loved listening to music via this site.
@richardazia Same here - I completely forgot about it for years, but now I'm hooked on it again because I'm a bit of a stats freak. Charts are so satisfying sometimes 🤓
