@orsinov @SallyStrange I think the gateway idea is nice.

However I have my doubts about your friends following. People tend to be really attached to their first social spaces.

It took me 15 years to delete my live journal, and I only left Facebook last year. I gave folks 6 months warning and a contact email.

People either leave when it gets Twitter take over levels of toxic, or it shuts down.
