The number of murders in the jumped by nearly 30% in 2020, the largest single-yr increase ever recorded in the country, acc/to ofcl FBI stats.

The data shows 21,570 homicides in the US in 2020, which is a staggering 4,901 more than in 2019. The increase was the largest since national records began being kept in 1960s.

The quarterly report released Tues is based on data sent to the FBI from about 80% of the enforcement agencies in the country. Final detailed data for 2023 is expected to be released in the fall.

@Nonilex Of course, the MAGA responses to that would be (a) everybody knows the National Bureau of Whatever is a front for the Biden crime family, so of course they're lying, (b) that's because law enforcement ignores crime by immigrants and goes after white US-born men because they're all run by woke politicians, and (c) that's because immigrant criminals are sneaky and devious and learned how to not get caught from criminal masterminds back in their home countries. There's no point trying to persuade these people with facts (not, I realize, that that's what you were trying to do).
