Last Wednesday evening @nova had a climbing accident and died.
All of us that loved her are heart broken and stunned. She was an amazing person that lived out loud and built connection and community wherever she went. She will be horribly missed.
Those closest to her are still working through their grief and figuring out when and how to best memorialize her. In the meantime, please donate to Trans Lifeline or the Transgender Law Center in her honor instead of looking to send flowers.

@jbeda So incredibly sad. She was an inspiration in regards to doing things on your own terms and trying to understand the complex issues of happiness.
@jbeda@nova RIP. Her work on Hachyderm was some of the content that made my realize Mastodon was home for me. My condolences to her friends, family and colleagues.
@jbeda my condolences on your loss. Has there been an investigation as to what had happened? The #climbing community learns from accident reports so tragedies like these can be prevented if possible.
