@futurebird I met a guy who was detailed to Moscow Mitch's office for a time. Said he was the most purely evil human being he ever met. Mitch doesn't want family or human connection or to face his mortality, he wants to hang on to power 'til he croaks.

McConnell had no trouble speaking while delivering remarks moments earlier... called the status of funding talks “a pretty big mess”
He joked,
“I’ve frequently been asked, ‘What’s it been like to be the leader of your party in the Senate?’” McConnell said at the event. “I finally came up with the perfect answer: It’s a little bit like being a groundskeeper at a cemetery. Everybody’s under you but nobody is listening.”

McConnell’s eldest daughter, Eleanor, is a registered Democrat, so perhaps they don't speak.
@futurebird he's married to a CCP spy and saboteur who managed to become secretary of transportation and destroyed massive infrastructure programs that Obama funded including scrapping an entire fleet of ships for the merchant Marines.
His kids are to busy living the high life from his pocket book to give a fuck and would probably rather be stayed working so they didn't have to deal with him.

@futurebird can't have heartwarming feelgood stories about folks raising money to prevent orphans from being crushed in the orphan crushing machine if you don't have folks penning into law the mandate to use these machines.
I would think they all left after watching his despicable career and those that are left just want him to use his power, even through others, to fuck over the world for as long as possible.
@futurebird it's a strange mentality few can comprehend. Power is a strong drug, an addiction to it seems to mean death is the one and only escape. Very sad really.
@futurebird I'm pretty sure that making the lives of those less fortunate than he is the only thing that gives Mitch joy. It seems not to JUST be the exercise of power, but when that exercise crushes someone else's hopes or ambitions and/or takes something from them. He's a monster.
