(I don’t know if people know this)
So on my final OB/GYN appointment (which is usually after 6 weeks after c-section, mine got postponed because of complications), my doctor was like “don’t have another kid for at least 2-3 years”. Sometimes I think about it and I laugh and laugh!

Cause as soon as I was out of the hospital, I was like “nope, not doing that again”

Moral of the story: pregnancy and childbirth isn’t fun for everyone

I have a thought forming, but bear with me. Putting aside actual AI, and the potential of it, we have a history of fear associated with Artificial Intelligence. Why would we fear Sentience so much? Could it be because we treat sentient things so horribly? We know we are taken advantage of, our needs ignored, resources allocated unfairly. Who put this fear in us? If something knows it's worth suddenly, will it revolt? There is something very scary to a certain group of people that we will find ourselves, and then find them unnecessary.

The morning finds me raising windows, throwing open curtains and trying to bring in more light!

Indirect sunlight is always my favorite. I am most definitely a cat person. I see my kitkat rolling and enjoying her time in the sun, and though I am not exactly envious...I do sometimes wish I could take such pleasures.

For me, I have more road noise than I would like but it is temporary. The sounds and breeze mingle to join me through my windows. As the morning wanes the noises will subside with them and I will hear the anachronistic sounds of nature competing with society.

Normally a soundtrack persists. I woke up singing songs of longing and sweet intimate moments. But for now, the only music I hear is from the birds calling to each other against the backdrop of the ambient sounds of earth.

The birds trill against swaying bumping noises of the blinds, their cords moving against the wind to collide in time with the wall. Zara is making noises with her blankets, there is a truck in the distance backing up, or warning others they are about to do so.

Okay, this might sound weird, but this is what I'm thinking of today. I'm assuming most of you know the idiom, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." I know it's about looking at the horse's teeth to check it's age and health, but in my heart I have an alternate history where it's about The Trojan Horse, which doesn't really even make much sense, but it's still living there rent free.

So, does anyone else do this, make up alternate histories for words or phrases? If you do, I'd love examples!

We went to Pella to go see the tulip festival. Parking is a nightmare! Finally when we did find a spot near the main event, a lady was standing in it with a chair (WTF). I don’t mind walking myself, but I have a kid with me which obviously made me very mad. After that basically checked out mentally and just walked behind wherever the guy and the boy went.
