but with someone that stupid the smack in the face really is unbearable.
(It makes the shortcomings of money all to obvious)
But, yeah.
I bet more people can tell you how much change Will Smith had in his pocket* that night, than even knew Trump had even one bankruptcy before voting for him.
I'm unsure if it is true, but the sheer coverage of those things versus the lack of coverage on others makes me worry not enough people care anymore. We have become such a polarized society.
I'm hopeful that enough legal stuff has become too loud for them to ignore. I hope that some of these less fanatic groups will have their energy blown out of them and enough good people will slip out and back into the general population.
Fanatics are dangerous, regardless of their cause. They are pushing groups apart, rampaging across safe spaces and demanding to be taken seriously. It looks like certain groups are pushing back a little harder now. I hope they continue.

@RickiTarr the Republicans spent the thirty years after Watergate normalizing open corruption and crime through Fox News.
It's not a secret that Roger Ailes created that network specifically as a propaganda arm of the heritage foundation to counter fact based reporting on politically elite criminals.
Worked like a fucking charm, there's no accountability at all for the bald faced lies and gaslighting on either side anymore.
@RickiTarr Remember in 2016/2017 when journalists and pundits (particularly those who lived through Watergate) were saying it was offensive and ridiculous to compare his scandals to Watergate because that was so serious? They were really out there acting like there was no comparison in severity, and they were right, just not in the way they said. It never occurred to them that it was so serious because the country and media took it seriously unlike now where it’s all spectacle.

And even to an extent, you have nothing to hide if you haven't done anything wrong
Laws are really an overton window designed to control people, and wealth, power, popular support are all their own critical mass pulling the window in another direction
