Honestly I think the biggest quality of life change #ACNH made is the inventory and storage.
#ACWW, I can hold 15 things and literally nothing stacks. Shake five fruit trees and your pockets are full. #ACNL I can hold 16 things, fruit and only fruit can stack but you have to do it manually. NH starts you with 20 slots, which can be upgraded to more, and everything stacks automatically.
Money. Oh gosh, money. Shake a tree and get 100 bells? You pick that up in WW or NL and it's just a sack of money in your inventory, each new coin or sack takes up a new inventory slot unless you manually stack them. NH? Money automatically goes into your wallet if there's room.
Wanna send a letter? Gotta buy stationary that takes up space, except in NH where you just pick at the card stand and it sends right away. Lose some flavor but gain some convenience #acww#acnl#acnh#AnimalCrossing
Storage? I'm WW I've got what the wiki tells me is 90 slots, but it feels like less. NL I have 180, but wiki indicates that's upgradeable at least some.
NH? Currently my house has 5000 slots to satisfy my hoarding instincts. Looks like you start way smaller, but there's a lot of upgrades man. Also it's got rudimentary sorting.
It's my new account to keep people updated of things happening in the Animal Crossing world.
We post the latest news, the latest events (in all games, not just New Horizons and Pocket Camp 😄) and we have the occasional Animal Crossing related poll as well.
We don't just update people in the world of Animal Crossing, we also operate @splatoon which has been the freshest place to get your Splatoon news on the fediverse for over a year now!
Just as a quick reminder, you can submit news by tagging this account in one of your posts or you can post it inside of the dedicated Animal Crossing newsroom!
#TBT to this night a few years ago when I went out for coffee with my friend, death, and death paid the ultimate price (400 bells). #AnimalCrossing#ACNH#ShareYourGames
TFW you accidentally delete the screenshots you took in Animal Crossing instead of press the share to phone button and lose the cool shots you just took of your new post-apocalyptic area of your island.
Okay, after doing my normal daily stuff in ACNH, was able to successfully get some new pics in the new post-apocalyptic area of my island. They look pretty good.
As 2023 is coming to an end shortly, I'm going to go through and just randomly list off some favorites from the past year.
High speed. Minimal thoughts.
First - favorite new manga of 2023? Beat and Motion, Two on Ice, and Shojo Null. The first's about music; the second's about figure skaters; the last is set in a world of disposable cyborgs that are actuality sentient people with machines on them removing all sense of consciousness - with a sentient cyborg lead, a co-lead whose parent's were murdered for learning this truth, & good social commentary on cops.
Favorite NEW video games of 2023? Well, I only played F-Zero 99, Cassette Beasts, and Sonic Superstars which were new in 2023. All of them were great in their own way.
Probably go in order: F-Zero 99, Cassette Beasts, Sonic Superstars.
Favorite game played in 2023? That's Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The surprise for me was how much I got really into sharing more ACNH content in 2023. To the point where I started a brand new Instagram account dedicated only to sharing ACNH pics, scenes, etc.
This week for @miona's VGM Wednesday, she has given us a theme of "Let's Take a Breather" - talking about music from calming moments in a game. Such as save points, hub areas, or villages.
For me, as an Animal Crossing lover, the opening music is such a calming moment. Yes, it's before the game even starts, but it's mellow and soothing, setting the tone for playing hours of cozy gaming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI_C1Bjdqn4
Sitting down to play some #ACNH. Busy day - gym in the morning, running with the kids, had them decorate the tree AFTER I replaced the tree stand. Friday morning I woke up to our tree toppled over, which is why we had to buy a new tree stand.
Then had to do some grocery shopping this evening. Busy, busy.
So, I've thought about this before with my #ACNH screenshots and @elisse just brought it up again. Do you think it would make sense to set up a #Pixelfed account that's focused on my #AnimalCrossing posts?
For #Instagram, I have a separate account where I only post up ACNH pics. On that account I only follow ACNH or cozy gaming accounts. But, on Fedi, I wasn't sure if it made sense. Part of me likes that I keep it included along with my catch-all that is my personal Masto account.
What do you think? Do you think it makes sense to make separate, ACNH focused Pixelfed account for my pics?
