He quoted Genesis in his #sermon — I’m sorry, his concurring opinion — in the AL ruling that turned #IVF on its head by defining #FrozenEmbryos as children.
Oh, you know the #AlabamaSupremeCourt has fucked up when even Tango Bollocks is worried it might make him look bad...
"...#DonaldTrump has said he supports the availability of #IVF treatment, joining a growing number of #Republicans seeking to distance themselves from an #Alabama court ruling on the issue..."
A third #Alabama#IVF clinic has halted treatment as the fallout from last week’s state Supreme Court ruling that frozen #embryos are legally #children continues to disrupt IVF access across the state.
The Center for Reproductive Medicine in Mobile, 1 of just 7 IVF clinics statewide, announced Thurs that it had paused IVF procedures in light of the court ruling.
Mark Nix, president & CEO of the clinic’s parent co, Infirmary Health, said in a Thurs statement the court decision “has sadly left us w/no choice.”
“We understand the burden this places on deserving families who want to bring babies into this world & who have no alternative options for conceiving,” he added.
The number of clinics providing comprehensive #IVF treatment in #Alabama has now been slashed by nearly half since the #AlabamaSupremeCourt’s Feb 16 ruling.
Heads up! If you live in Alabama and have frozen embryos stored at a fertilization clinic, you have a good case for claiming them as dependents for tax purposes now. Get those child tax credits!
Proceed directly to the Social Security Administration and have a social security number assigned to each embryo.
Apply for food stamps, Medicaid, and other social assistance based on your new, higher number of dependents.
