It was surprisingly hard to get used to being able to grow vegetables and fruit all year round in our corner of #California, but we are making progress.
My first purple cauliflower is getting bigger and more purple by the day!
You can see how the cabbage worms have gnawed through the leaves, but I have netting now (which you can see a corner of in the upper left corner). That should solve the problem going forward.
It's Cauliflower Parmesan (NYT recipe), asparagus with toasted bread crumbs and a simple wedge salad with blue cheese dressing, some sourdough bread. Oh, and a whiskey. 🥃
I'm not really a fan of the trend over the last few years to put cauliflower in everything. I tried a potato soup recipe that uses cauliflower as a "healthy" ingredient and it just doesn't taste right.
