EXO's Zhang Lay (张艺兴) vision in #ShowItAll (百分百出品) E05 is very broadminded. Basically, he's promoting that all cultures are equal and we should not force our culture on others.
I wonder if he'll be okay after this. coughPRCcough

Really enjoyed their song (in terms of melody), but I didn't quite really understand the lyrics well, so please fix me if I'm wrong. I noticed that the feeling of Thai lyrics was more related to heart-broken one, quite like toxic relationship and one was ready to end it. Meanwhile, the Chinese lyrics were more about how the person shone this lover's life.
@filburutto Yep, different. At least what I've read and the few I understood.
In the Chinese version, I think they used the translation sung by Mandopop singer Zhao Lusi(?), and originally titled “You Are My Light”. I haven't found that version; I'm thinking Zhao's translation cover is also different from PiXXiE's Chinese version?
EDIT: Ahh, found it! Finally appeared on my Spotify. Entitled “You Are My Light” by 赵露思.
Wow, #EXO's & EXO-M's Lay (张艺兴) is very protective of his girl group in #ShowItAll. I also love the concept of the show, inviting big names from other countries, to help hone their local talents.
(You can watch “Show It All” legally via YouTube.)
The popular song “Take Me to Your Heart” (2004) by Michael Learns to Rock is actually an English cover of the 1993 Mandarin original entitled “吻别” (“Goodbye Kiss”) by Jacky Cheung.
#today i’m listening to 思念是一种病 by 张震岳 (2007). it’s kind of a comforting song to me and it has the characteristics of a nostalgic #rnbhiphop song.
the title means “missing you is a kind of illness”. it’s quite interesting, cause in the olden days when couples yearn for each other we’d say they’ve caught the “missing illness” - 相思病. so the song title is kinda like a modern interpretation or some sort of wordplay to that.
thread about young Mandopop singer Liu Yuning, and why you should at least listen to one of his songs. I am a casual fan at best (unlike his mega fans who turn up at his concerts in bridal gowns), so this is more primer than deep dive. OK LET'S GO 👇🏻👇🏻
