February 29th, #LeapDay, is the official birthday of Superman's alter ego, Clark Kent.
It was first designated as his birthday in issue 164 of World's Finest Comics in 1966. (The linked article does not include this fact, for some reason.)
Made the mistake of visiting another social and gotta say - their #comics community is much livelier than ours has been lately.. we need to up our game!
So here's a challenge - post one for your favorite #Batman covers. Here's my all time fave.. I owned it as a kid and it gave me the jeebies!

That may be so, but only because she lets him. It would have no effect on her; his punches are weaker than #Thanos's. Then she'd laugh at him because of his tiny, withered dick.
Then everyone else in both the #DCEU and the #MCU would beat his ass because Captain Marvel doing it would be too cruel even for misogynistic trash like him.
I enjoyed The Flash mainly because Batman 89 represents Batman for me and it was so awesome seeing Michael Keaton return as Batman and Bruce Wayne -- he's still the best Bruce Wayne of all time.
There are some great cameos in the movie that reward long time fans of DC movies.
The story itself is perfunctory, but worked to keep the movie moving along. It is a bit long at almost 2.5 hours.
As part of my #DCEU rewatch, I saw "The Suicide Squad" (2021) for the first time, and truly loved it. It fixed everything done wrong in the 2016 edition, and renewed my love of #JamesGunn.
Them: "The CGI in The Flash (2023) is some of the worst CGI I've ever seen put to film."
Me: "Ugh. They always say that shit. People always have to find something to complain about, and it's never as bad as they say."

I realize I may be in a bit of a #comics fan bubble -- but is #Superman 's origin story really that much of a secret / mystery to movie-goers that doing a Supes movie without it (No Krypton! No Smallville!) is considered a "risky move"?
I think that's a fine #DCEU decision by #JamesGunn. Saves 20-40 minutes that can be used to develop today's character.
Apparently “Flash” utterly tanked in its second weekend at the box office, and that honestly surprises me. I didn’t expect it to do well in its first weekend, because so many DC movies have been terrible, but I saw it, and it’s actually pretty good, so I figured word of mouth would give it legs. I mean, it’s not the best movie I’ve seen in the last month (that would be “You Hurt My Feelings”) but it’s better than most DC movies and I’d think people would respond to that. #movies#dceu
