Early showings of the film (and trailer analyses) say Arthur & Mera have an infant son who is vital to the plot, so she is vital to the film.

Previous reports say that most of her scenes were filmed prior to the trial. But post-trial, there was editing done to minimize her time on screen.

As part of my rewatch, I saw "The Suicide Squad" (2021) for the first time, and truly loved it. It fixed everything done wrong in the 2016 edition, and renewed my love of .

I realize I may be in a bit of a fan bubble -- but is 's origin story really that much of a secret / mystery to movie-goers that doing a Supes movie without it (No Krypton! No Smallville!) is considered a "risky move"?

I think that's a fine decision by . Saves 20-40 minutes that can be used to develop today's character.
