Yesterday, for supporting my robot film, #TheMetalPerson I rewarded patrons with a stylized wallpaper of a pied kingfisher sitting on a leafless branch (looks like a stick suspended in air). The foreground, bird and branch, is monochrome, the background is pale yellow. (Okay, alt-texting has taught me how to describe images, you get the picture?)
Finally, my most recent film is public. #TheMetalPerson about a young girl who makes a #robot to help her mother with domestic chores, but she has to face off with some extremists in her village.
This has been a labor of love, and hope you can tell me if you like the film, and what I can do to improve! And if you have a dollar to spare, please donate!
I just lost a patron😭 Every month I vow to be more active, post every week and a #shortfilm every 3 months, but life gets hectic. Like today, I woke up full of zeal to work. It's already 3PM. I've written exactly 0 words and spent a lot of time daydreaming about getting more patrons to support my short films, which you can see in this hashtag #DilmanShortFilms
It's a quiet Sunday morning here. I spent all of yesterday writing a 5K word treatment for a feature film, and today I have to write a 6K non-fiction essay for an academic publication. I can't say I'm having a fun weekend :-((
"How to Start a Zombie Apocalypse" is a short film I did in 2017 (or was it 2018?), about a woman who defies death and accidentally unleashes #zombies upon the world. I wrote it like a folk tale, and it's one of those I had a bit of fun working on. You can watch it here on PeerTube
What Happened in Room 13. About an extramarital affair that goes horribly wrong. The woman ends up dead and the man races against time to hide the body.
My first #shortfilm is here. Love it so much. I think its still my best work since I was very naive when making it and eight million views on YouTube suggest its a good one to watch. Here it is without ads https://video.ploud.jp/w/6fytAG7Xf8BSJF8NZ7vAXL
