Just wanted to bring this to the #blind community's attention: Giving two massive thumbs down to the #Vivaldi browser as the experience for those of us using a #screenreader is #atrocious There's no seperation between the toolbar at the top, the main part of the window & the status bar at the bottom. Trying to use a shortcut to access the toolbar or even the address bar won't work as there's no keyboard shortcuts to do that with. Even accessing the menu is a hit or miss proposition for a screen reader user. Also, don't get me started on the focus jumping that goes on when you're navigating between pages, it's frustrating to say the least. Very #disappointed that accessibility seems to be an afterthought for this browser. #Avoid using this hot mess of a web browser until they bother to fix it, assuming they actually give a shit in the first place. Boost if possible, as I'd like to save others in the blind community from a poor #accessibility experience.
I would really like a treat such as a little chocolate or a cookie or even grapes. Only things I can find in the office are a small can of tuna and a cough drop :-( #food#snacks#disappointed
Well, go figure. I’m now totally perplexed. Powered the system up this morning, and it works. Nothing different from yesterday when it wasn’t working, just an 18 hour power down.
So what’s my take away here? Firstly, I’ve lost all faith in the Presonus interface. Secondly, I’ve bought myself some extra time to explore alternatives, but an alternative will have to be found. Thirdly, I need to make hay while the sun is shining.
Firstly, thanks @chris for letting me know that the blood pressure and pulse monitor, I shared on yesterday’s #AudioMo had a completely inaccessible app. After downloading it on the iPhone, haven’t tried on the android yet, I can second it not being accessible. I’ll keep using it because it gives me the information I need, at least until I get time to go listen to @JonathanMosen on Mosen At Large… but I’m truly #Disappointed#Accessibility
In the past I've found #problems in #software, problems with #websites, with bureaucratic processes, some of which were significant, but they all pale in comparison to this one.
12/13 Unfortunately, that law has no teeth. At best, it can produce a non-binding report containing recommendations. You can then use the report as evidence if you wish to sue, but that's an expensive gamble.
To say I'm #disappointed with this company is an #understatement. But I have to admit, I am not particularly surprised by the existence of this vulnerability, only by its severity and by how badly they failed to include the most basic security precautions.
