We're delighted to announce that @everythingopen#EverythingOpen, Australia's grassroots open source community conference, is being hosted in the beautiful #Gladstone, led by long-time community contributor @xrobau
📅 April 16-18 2024
📍Gladstone, Queensland, Australia
#CfP will open 14 October 2023. Start thinking about what you would like to talk about, or see.
@everythingopen@xrobau Please adopt a stronger health policy with mandatory masking to protect attendees, ensuring attendance is open to all.
Many of your potential attendees and speakers (including former keynotes from Linux.conf.au) signed the @phpledge because we care about our long term health.
Don't just "strongly encourage" masks. Require them.
We don't just "strongly encourage" people not to engage in CoC banned behaviour. We require and enforce.
Today, in another one of our excellent #EverythingOpen talks, we have Andy Gelme - @geekscape - talking #AI, #IoT, #ML, #robotics, #cybernetics and #AIoT - showing how many technologies combine to give us robots that sense, learn and make decisions.
Here, Andy presents the #Aiko Services framework, which integrates these.
We're seeking expressions of interest #EoI in submitting a Conference Bid OR being part of an organising team for the 2024 and/or 2025 conferences - please email council@linux.org.au to register interest.
As we recap our fantastic #EverythingOpen talks, next up is William Brown @firstyear from @SUSE who walks us through #passkeys for #web#authn, showing us their ambiguities, how they work, what their limitations are, and what we need to be thinking about when we implement them.
