Pound for pound, the whammy system on a #Fender Stratocaster is as good as it gets. I'm obviously not saying it's better than everything else in every way, but I'd take it over a Bigsby or Floyd Rose for any #guitar that I'm also in charge of tuning and changing strings on.
If you want a very cheap or starter #guitar, #AmericanMusicalSupply has an incredible deal right now on #Fender FA-125's. I bought one to have for when I'm visiting family back in Indiana.
BACK HOME
After an extended stay at the lad's place, my P-bass was returned yesterday. Boy D was kind enough to have cleaned up the whole damn thing for me. I don't think I've ever seen it look so nice! Spent this morning getting reaquainted with it... #Fender#Bass#Precision#PBass

...making music. This is from a quickie vid I just made this afternoon. It wasn't my intention to affect the colour at all but the image was kind of bland, much like myself. So I dove head first into the filter section of my software. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IsafQI4738 #Fender#Telecaster
Fender's new Made in Japan Deluxe Jazz Bass V #KazukiArai Artist Model, available exclusively at the #Fender Tokyo Flagship Store in Black or Vintage Blonde for 231,000 JPY, is the first appearance of the small body Jazz Bass V design since the 2009 American Deluxe Jazz Bass V. It is the only Fender instrument I consider truly beautiful, and originated with the 1990 US Plus Series Jazz Bass Plus V, Fender's first ever modern 5-string #bass. #KingGnu#bassguitar

SCOTT IAN Still Wants One Of The Game Of Thrones Guitars From Fender, Dammit!
"These motherf*ers' made about 9 million dollars on the fuckg video we made and they couldn't even give us a guitar!"
I don't know whether this qualifies for #CarryShitOlympics, but for my part it feels very much like it. Yesterday, I combined two of my big hobbies: bicycling and guitar playing. Look carefully, and you can read "Fender" on box on the rack. Like with bicycles, the n+1 rule also applies for music gear: it's called gear acquiring syndrom, or GAC in short, and is a widespread disease amongst guitar lovers and bicycle enthusiasts the like.
Procrastinating on this rainy day. Here's my #1 for #straturday. Mid-70s #Fender Strat, bought used in the early 80s, modded a bit, gifted to my son in the aughts, regifted back to me after 15 years, love it! Second pic to highlight my favorite Strat player, 1972 #Jerry, who hangs on the wall for inspiration. #guitar
I have work to do BUT I want to talk about my #guitars so I'm going to do a thread where I showcase each one in the order I acquired them in! Starting with my first guitar ever: NEPTUNE.
He started life as a cheap #Fender "Starcaster" that my parents bought for me at Best Buy. Originally it had this nasty mirror pickguard that I hated AND of course I put dumb stickers all over it. But I've since replaced the things I didn't like with a Korean Squier neck with a Fender waterslide decal, a Seymour Duncan SH-4 pickup in the bridge, and some no-name single coils in the other slots. They're fine, but I could honestly just remove them and break the selector switch because this thing is basically always on that bridge pickup. He's got his issues, but being my first guitar, I wouldn't trade him for the world <3
I don't have a photo of this guitar with the original neck, but I've attached one that has all the stickers intact from when I replaced the neck. Maple fretboard gang for life.
Well, this girl came home with me this afternoon. Played her a little bit more and I think she’s perfect, a great addition to my collection. Going to leave the protective plastic on the pickguard until I have to change the strings. Will think of an appropriate name eventually. #fender#stratocaster#studio
Busting out the guitar this week to record some parts for an old track that I never finished. I hadn’t played in over a year. Felt very nice. Well — bad at first. But good after a while 😂
How can you call the Tom Delonge guitar a Stratocaster? It has a single humbucker and a volume knob. The classic Strat is three single coils and a five toggle switch. Switching out any number of single coils for a humbucker doesn't spoil it. But that five toggle switch gives you a number of specific tone options. That's what defines a Stratocaster for me. #guitar#fender#stratocaster#blink182
Been working on a cover of Bryan Adams song Run To You and have been struggling a lot with the guitar sound. All of the Les Paul’s have way too much low end & sound really muddy. The amount of EQ required to “fix” this is ridiculous. The Strat actually works really well. So the takeaway is that a $150 Squier works better here than a $6000 Gibson.
