More #FirstWorldProblems as my new hybrid heat pump hot water heater failed city inspection. Apparently the plumbers will have to redo the condensate drainage, as the plan of "empty the bucket" isn't going to cut it, it must go into a sewer drain or be piped outside.
In the near future a mass of people are going to die in a city from the heat, and the headlines will say that "it wouldn't have been so bad except the power went out"
Heat is going to take down power systems. The power systems that could protect us from an event, will be harmed by the event.

Other people are going away for the (US) holiday weekend, barbecuing, hiking, whatever. I'm hauling gravel. The garden show is a month from yesterday. The countdown is on! Now the heat pump planning permission is approved, I have an installation date. Install will start 22nd July. I need to order some new home batteries. I think I will add another 9.6 kWh. That means we will have 19.2 kWh.
