“Leaves Trace” — The trace of a departed autumn leaf on a concrete sidewalk.
I walk a lot, and I always carry a camera. At a minimum I have my smart phone, but most of the time I have a “real” camera in my bag. I don’t always photograph on walks, but from time to time I spot something that interests me. This was one of those times. This is really cool. DA is one outstanding dude, a real unsung hero for decades, doing a rather unglamorous job. Neat to see GQ do a profile/interview with him.
They're sending in the National Guard to the Libertarian Utopia. 💅
I hope all you assholes who threw a selfish fit, called the cops, & nearly killed a bunch of women over being delayed in traffic for 45 min by climate activists asking #Burners to care about the #ClimateCrisis, get your government rescue. /s/
Libbros are a joke. You couldn't help yourselves out of a paper bag.
SFgate:"#BurningMan conditions are bordering on disaster with over 70,000 people trapped & sheltering-in-place"
Interesting. Is it "your responsibility," having gathered 70,000 people onto a fragile ecosystem that they are currently absolutely wrecking, to pay for the cost of repairing that damage? Is it "your responsibility" to take care of those 70,000 people, or do you instead call in the National Guard to do that for you?

For fucks sake @mentallyalex while I applaud your late night attempt to create The Impossible Hot Pocket, I would appreciate it if I didn't have to clean out the microwave after each failure.
Are there any burners here? I just got back from the local Burning Man regional event, Playa Del Fuego; it was an absolute blast! While this was only my 2nd regional event, I have a long history going to Burning Man in Black Rock City, a dozen times since the mid-90s. I haven't personally seen much overlap with heads culture, which surprises me.
I suspect it will be to do it again out back... (lemmy.ca)
