Meta has dropped $200 billion in value following an earnings call that focused on long-term investments in AI and the metaverse, none of which is currently monetized.
As @cnbc reports, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg spooked investors by spending "almost the entirety of his opening remarks focused on the many ways Meta loses money."
Earlier this week, #BusinessInsider reported that according to app analytics firm #Apptopia, Threads now has more daily active users in the #US than #X.
All I'm saying, is that we tenuously connect up to Threads, and then suddenly there are all these goat killings around Mastodon.....I think we all know who is responsible for that...
If you see a post from a @threads.net user, don’t bother replying yet—they won’t see it.
You can like the post if you want, but they won’t be able to tell who liked it from the #fediverse, only a count of how many and from how many servers.
You can repost a #Threads post here, but the original poster won’t be able to tell that it happened (yet?). They will still see anonymous likes from readers of the repost, though.
