We had such a blast at #PAXEast and we can't wait to talk about all of the amazing games we saw in-depth, but for now, here are some of our highlights from the show:
The isometric racing game NeoSprint is releasing on Steam this summer, and from #PAXEast, I can confirm that it will work wonderfully on the #SteamDeck!
Preface: sorry this is rambling, my POINT is that not only is hindsight 20/20, and yes institutions not only botched this, they were actively interfered with, in particular here in the US, by Donald Trump who used it as an opportunity to fucking showboat being a racist shit.
NO individual should feel bad for having missed the storm warnings. (1/3)
We were only prepared through my wife having been watching a of warning signs and a some happenstance luck on our part, and that I follow her lead even if I don’t agree.
My ironic Covid moment: we went to #PaxEast 2020 (Feb 27-March 1*)
Sony and Nintendo had last minute cancelled.
I had gotten an N99 mask for Xmas preceding for winter motorcycle riding, and I decided I wanted a reddish one they had to wear to Pax.
Very busy days. I went to #PaxEast on Thu and Fri. Despite not liking crowds, lines, meeting new people, or competitive gaming, I had fun. Played a bunch of new games with a couple of friends, hung out with @adrienne, and bought just 2 games. One was a used copy of The 7th Continent, so not bad. The other, however, was a 20lb monster of a game at an "end of show" price. Divinity Original Sin The Boardgame is exactly something I didn't need! #boardgames#bgg@boardgames

#PAXEast is a shell of its former self. The biggest booth was 'Quiddya Gaming' which the people who staffed the booth didn't even know what it was. Vaguely referring it to a "gaming city being built in Saudi Arabia" and pointing to a non-sensical demo video. More oil money than sense.
#Boston - Should you see a lost cosplayer or otaku struggling with our #MBTA system, trying to get to #PAXEast con at 415 Summer St, approach with a soothing voice, saying 'hello comrade geek, the Silver Line is a bus, yet not a bus.'
If they're already at South Station, let them know that they could walk over Summer Street bridge in about the same time as it would take to figure out the Silver Line. The scenery is better, too. https://east.paxsite.com/
If you're going to #PAXEast, #GDC, or any other event, please wear a mask at all times.
If you don't, I will be disliking videos and shorts of the event.
