please help pay off this ridiculous fine so this man can get his life back. Remember that millionaires were only fined £100 for being at parties, but this man got £14,300 for a party he didn't plan or attend.

I think Johnson's forgotten about the Select Committee report into Partygate 🙄
GPLB: "Brenda Campbell, who appears on behalf of the Northern Ireland Bereaved Families for Justice. asks why, the party in No 10 on 18 December 2020 was allowed to happen. Johnson tells her he has tried to explain why people in Downing Street, who were “working very hard” believed at the time they were operating within the rules. Though he insists he takes Campbell’s point."

If you wanted a good example of 'cognitive dissonance' (or perhaps we should just call it ), you'll not do much better than the revelation that during the period of was calling for 'massive fines' for those who broke lockdown regulation.... need I say that at the same time him & his colleague were systematically breaking such rules (during what is now referred to as ).

If it wasn't Johnson I'd be shocked but as it's him I'm just wearily unsurprised!

Johnson wanted to "declare Covid over" in autumn of 2020 and asked Cummings to create a dead cat to distract the public.

This so typifies his leadership.

Create a distraction to make people think about something else.

Unfortunately that technique doesn't work with a pandemic.

Let's all take a moment to reflect on the ultimate irony of Simon Case handing in a sicknote so he doesn't have to be questioned at the Covid Inquiry. Any Londoners (partic those who use Westminster tube) who spot him being "ill", make sure you take a photo.

As the rings with the crocodile tears & apologies of those caught out in the investigation(s) & data gathering for the inquiry, we can only conclude that the & their fellow travellers have taken the old organisational maxim that 'its better to ask forgiveness than permission' to a new low...

These people are only sorry they have been rather publicly outed for their behaviour, nothing more!

And the bit where they intersperse the goings on in No10 with real stories from ordinary people. Like this man, who was fined £10,000 for organising a snowball fight in a park. Outdoors.

Cleverley was the first to do the rounds of studios to cover Johnson's back when exploded, but he chooses to ignore the First Minister of Scotland regarding the welfare of Scots who are trapped in Gaza and Israel.

The Tories never stop pontificating about collaboration with the Scottish Government - but when push comes to shove their hypocrisy and contempt are there for all reasonable people to see.

Not sure there ever was any trust in this government

But whatever, it’s official now.

There is no trust in the government

A reminder that Sunak was fined £50 for breaching lockdown regulations in Downing Street, while the average fine for the plebs doing the same thing was £6,000.

The same Sunak is probably in breach of contempt of court law in Scotland after his slur on Nicola Sturgeon this afternoon.

One law for them....

channel 4 last night absolutely brilliant Partygate shows the entitled attitude of the Tories and the behaviour at no.10 whilst the rest of us did as we were told and stayed at home.
Shows the contempt for the office of Prime Minister , contempt for the rule of law contempt actually for you and me .
Needs to be shown before every Tory speech during the election

it is a major test for the ruling UK conservative party - triggered when MPs leave their post between election cycles:
Ex PM 'stood down to avoid being suspended over a report that found he misled MPs over . quit after being passed over for a peerage. quit after being investigated over claims of harassment and drug use'.
