can now dispense without a to anyone in New York, according to an order signed by the state’s health commissioner on Tuesday. The order was part of a broad push last year by Gov. Kathy Hochul and leaders in the state Legislature to expand in the face of winnowing access elsewhere in the country. https://gothamist.com/news/birth-control-now-available-in-new-york-without-prescription

When there is uncertainty “that’s when people seem to be reacting most.”

The relatively new practice of requesting a for abortion pills before potentially needing them—known as advance provision—has spiked during two periods of recent uncertainty about the future of abortion access, the study published in Internal Medicine found.

I am having a minor issue getting my blood pressure meds refilled and I am annoyed.

My high blood pressure is never going to go away. Certain basic medications should be on a perpetual prescription unless supplanted by a newer prescription.

Says 'Much More Has to Be Done' to Cut Prices

"Bottom line: We should not be paying any more for prescription drugs than other countries around the world," said Sanders.

Sanders (I-Vt.), the chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, welcomed the administration's move as "an important step forward in taking on the greed of the pharmaceutical industry and their 1,800 paid lobbyists in Washington, D.C."

For as long as I can remember, politicians have been promising to involve the government in negotiating down the cost of prescription drugs. Now, the Biden Administration has finally achieved that goal. Medicare has announced it will negotiate prices on 10 popular prescription drugs, making them more affordable. Joe Biden is getting the job done. And we, the voters, should support him to finish the job.

Why just 10 drugs? Why not all prescriptions?

Finish the job

💊 How is it that literally every claim I have for is not covered and paid in accordance with my policy? They want to short me every single time.

😡 Why do I have to spend hours of my time getting them to fix it every single time? How many people don't pay attention to know that they're getting screwed, too?

🤑 Monopolies are out of control in the US.

1/13 So, this week I discovered my first in a public system.

In the past I've found in , problems with , with bureaucratic processes, some of which were significant, but they all pale in comparison to this one.

It starts with a of .

cazabon,

8/13 They don't even take the basic step of ensuring that I actually have access to that phone number. They could place an automated call to it and read out a security that you needed to enter to finish activating the account.

Hell, Google used to call me with a login code at every login before I set up TOTP authentication.

But this pharmacy chain doesn't do that. As soon as I selected my phone number, I was logged in, with full access to all of my information.

cazabon,

10/13 This would be a great way to get that have uses; create an account for a senior with chronic pain issues, and then watch for when their becomes available for . Then go pick it up, and hey, if they have , free .

Or that twitchy kid - free ! for everyone! Why take a chance on unregulated blue when you can get the real thing?
