On the day that public records revealed that #ElonMusk had become #Twitter’s biggest #shareholder, an unknown sender texted the billionaire & recommended an article imploring him to acquire the #SocialNetwork outright.
#Musk’s purchase of Twitter, the 3k-word anonymous article said, would amount to a “declaration of war against the Globalist American Empire.” The sender of the texts was offering Musk… a playbook for the takeover & transformation of Twitter.
It's always, "giving raises and benefits and time off to workers will cause inflation," not "#CEOs and top execs getting millions in yearly raises and bonuses, and large corporations #price-gouging to line #shareholder pockets is causing inflation."
Today at #Google's SF office - along with our #shareholder resolution, we staged an action challenging the company's plans to partner with #Saudi Aramco. The purpose of a #corporation is not #shareholder value or delighting customers or looking after employees. It is to move as much #money as possible into the pockets of its senior managers.
This is because senior managers make the decisions, and that is their primary objective. Why else would you be a senior manager? Despite their posturing, it's really not a fun job.
This is one reason why companies are not #rational actors.
