@gisiger Das stimmt natürlich. Nur, weil man nicht an Gottheiten glaubt, muss man nicht unbedingt davon ausgehen, dass es auf der Welt insgesamt mit rechten Dingen zugeht. Dennoch zeigen die Daten, dass Personen, die angeben, keiner Religion anzugehören, zu einem kleineren Teil an Übernatürliches glauben. Und wir bei @freidenken setzen uns natürlich insgesamt für Evidenzbasiertheit ein. Deshalb auch unsere Tagline #säkular - #humanistisch - #rational.
Suggestion: If a source repeatedly makes multiple easily refutable claims (#GishGallop), then this source should be considered "Gish-branded" and be ignored in further communications – until they make a good-faith demonstration (in a forum that is equivalent to the one they received the brand), that they are capable of conducting a well-reasoned and #Rational argument.
Destructive Judgemental Religions vs Rational Free Thinking Humanists
Secular humanism is an important part of modern life. It is now being attacked without a reason and in an angry way from many directions. This statement only backs the kind of secular humanity that is clearly committed to democracy. It is against all beliefs that look to the supernatural to back up their beliefs or support authority as a way to run the country.
First, the #categorization of #political views along a single left-right #axis is almost #useless. This has long been known, and alternatives exist that present a much more accurate picture, but the traditional #media is #addicted to "#left this" and "#right that" and is lazy, so they'll probably never get better.
If you think we can solve every problem, if only we had the correct government program, or civilian association supporting it, or work hard enough, or if we #redistribute#resources#logically, etc, then you fall at the top end of this scale.
Just read the #mangaI Sold My Life for 10,000 Yen per Year. Enjoyed its bittersweetness. I s'pose living every day as if it’s one of the last days of your life (as long it’s not actually so, unlike in the manga), through which you would (reasonably) prioritize yourself, could be a way to #happiness. Also, while real life is in the way (compelling the protagonist to make the choice to give up his life), #love did prevail (convincing others that Miyagi really exists). You should give it a read!
Finally, I want to comment on @PeterCxy ’s https://typeblog.net/36434/being-towards-death which seems to agree with the boy's assessment above. Yes, it's laughable to seek a specific meaning of #life, and that we should (and usually try to) live each day to its fullest, but maybe it's because we're ultimately irrational. If #humanity is perfectly #rational, it'll lose its variety, all changes can be foreseen, and so our existence would be truly meaningless. Therefore, we exist, for that we're #unique.
Information from the shop floor going up is carefully filtered. Hence edicts from above are misguided and indiscriminate. They are then wilfully misinterpreted by layers below.
