Today marks two years since #AJArabic Palestinian-American veteran journalist #ShireenAbuAkleh was shot and killed by Israeli Forces.
The Al Jazeera family & the world have not stopped seeking #justiceforshireen and will continue to honour her bravery, courage and loyalty to journalism.
I am always irritated when I hear, see or read reports in the western medias that do not mention the names of #ShireenAbuAkleh and #SamerAbuDaqqa on the subject of the planned ban on reporting by Al Jazeera. The fact that in 2023, almost 75% of all journalists killed in the course of their work worldwide died in the Gaza Strip is also practically never mentioned.
Palestine: Shireen Abu Akleh shrine desecrated in the West Bank
The site of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh’s killing in Jenin has been bulldozed and her shrine desecrated, in an unexplained early-morning operation on 26 October.
@fifilamoura@w7voa#ShireenAbuAkleh and many others have died trying to shine a light on what has been happening in the West Bank and Gaza, with the internet outages, I fear for those trying to record what is happening.
"This is another Iraqi WMD moment. We are being gaslit. Believe your eyes and ears, and the laws of physics, not the lies being peddled by our leaders and media about last night's missile strike on the Baptist hospital in Gaza:"
