"On Friday, the inauguration of the University of #Massachusetts Amherst’s 31st chancellor, Javier Reyes, faced numerous disruptions and walkouts by pro-Palestinian students and faculty calling for the university to cut ties with weapons contractors and drop academic discipline charges against 56 students and a faculty member arrested for a sit-in in October.
Stumbled across this lovely post by photographer Darren Bradley and it made me feel very differently — warm and fuzzy, even — about our campus architecture, which he describes as being "one of the finest collections of Modernist architecture in the United States."
Still recovering from the fantastic and fantastically busy Friday, where went to see @adrienne graduate with a degree in Veterinary Sciences from UMass Amherst. Beautiful sunny day, which meant hot in the stands for the 2 ceremonies but it was lovely and tearjerking to see her finally walk that stage. A good dinner and then a long drive back made for a long day.
