Can't wait for daylight saving to be over. We're getting up at 7.45am this week so we don’t wake in darkness, but that throws the rest of the day's schedule out (normally we get up at 7am). Four days to go!
Every daylight savings time frays the very fabric of space-time. Each year we risk tearing it asunder.
The madness must stop. The universe is at stake.
We must take action NOW to end daylight savings time, before we spring forward and fall back into a swirling void of time chaos, awash in a sea of unbound chronotons, with the arrow of time spinning wildly as it’s battered by vortices of temporal waves.
The joy of #DaylightSavingTime 😅. The Citizen E650 synced with the atomic clock tower during the night so its time was correct in the morning. The Casio only required to turn on DST so it was painless. Except for the Apple Watch obviously, everything else needed to be adjusted manually though. #watches#watchesofmastodon
This isn't what I normally post, but I wanted to share that I have started a petition to call on Congress to pass the "Sunshine Protection Act" and end the whiplash of Daylight Saving Time.
If you'd like to sign it, please check out the link below. If not, a boost is appreciated as well to get the word out. Thanks!
I feel like I laughed a little too hard at this bit by Brett McGinness in the Reno Memo about how we all just accept that it's whatever time our phones tell us it is.
"We're fairly certain that if our phones started telling us that every day was Tuesday, it would take us months to notice. ('Hey,' we'd say to our co-workers every morning, 'I know it's Tuesday, but does it seem like it's been a little too Tuesday lately?')"
You'd think after being forced to suffer through Daylight Saving Time for over 40 years nowI'd have saved enough Daylight to get like a bonus day or something.
I feel like #DaylightSavingTime makes my seasonal depression worse, by artificially further shortening the day to me. Permanent summer time would probably work the best for me personally.
Well, the daylight savings and loan bank has failed again another year. My savings is lost and I’m tired too early. We are all mere slaves to the perpetually ticking and unforgivably arbitrary clock. When will we be free?
Look, let’s be honest. “Saving” is just branding. It’s not daylight saving. We lose an hour in the spring and then get it back in the fall. We’re just loaning out our sleep at zero interest.
