The colour on Hotel Le Germain is simple painted concrete, but I like the effect,. And since it is at the end of rue President-Kennedy, it can be seen from a distance. #Montreal#downtown#buildings
My friends are not going to believe this, I even can hardly believe it. By chance I am out for the night in Tempe, sharing a hotel room with a friend who drove here from out of town. 3 caregivers covering for me and everyone said “Go!” 1st time away since February 8. Btw it did NOT rain. Yes it was 115° again. Maybe I’ll post a few more photos tonight. Happy happy! #Tempe#Arizona#Downtown
Just imagine what ridership would be like if it was extended to Fiserv Forum, UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, American Family Field, or the Wisconsin Center.
Fort Wayne, IN is really interesting and has been making some cool changes over the last few years in #downtown.
This is Columbia Street, which has been closed off to motor vehicles. This intersection has been raised to sidewalk level, forcing drivers to slow down.
Fort Wayne has also brought in rental bikes and scooters, as well as more bike lanes (although they aren't protected) and bike trails.
Interested in what it REALLY takes to make downtown a livable, lovable urban NEIGHBOURHOOD? That’s our ambitious challenge in Downtown #Sacramento California with the work I’m doing with the Downtown Partnership. Thanks to #SacTownMagazine for interviewing me in your big 100th issue!
Another reminder that urban density & lush street trees creating a “Kissing Canopy” over the sidewalk and street are completely compatible. It’s actually PART of #DensityDoneWell. You just have to make it a actual design priority. As this very dense block in my downtown #Vancouver neighbourhood illustrates.
