The colour on Hotel Le Germain is simple painted concrete, but I like the effect,. And since it is at the end of rue President-Kennedy, it can be seen from a distance.

Same buildings from an oblique angle.
Looking down a street to the coloured one at the end.

My friends are not going to believe this, I even can hardly believe it. By chance I am out for the night in Tempe, sharing a hotel room with a friend who drove here from out of town. 3 caregivers covering for me and everyone said “Go!” 1st time away since February 8. Btw it did NOT rain. Yes it was 115° again. Maybe I’ll post a few more photos tonight. Happy happy!

Harbor Springs Michigan

Harbor Springs, Michigan is a little resort town just south of the Mackinaw Bridge at the northern part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The town is sheltered by Little Traverse Bay on the Shores of Lake MIchigan. The town gets it's name from the natural springs that flow into the harbor. Fort Wayne, IN is really interesting and has been making some cool changes over the last few years in #downtown.

This is Columbia Street, which has been closed off to motor vehicles. This intersection has been raised to sidewalk level, forcing drivers to slow down.

Fort Wayne has also brought in rental bikes and scooters, as well as more bike lanes (although they aren't protected) and bike trails.

Jacksonville's namesake. The racist 7th President of The United States, Andrew Jackson. Several of our city schools have been renamed, and "discussions" about removing confederate statues continue, yet not for this one. Likely to keep its prominent location downtown.

Embarcadero Street

San Francisco is such a lively and vibrant city. The waterfront of San Francisco Bay highlights this in so many ways. From Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 all the way down to ATT Park.
This area here is in an area known as South of Market and it has seen fantastic renewal over the last 15-20 years. See the full image here: https://fineartamerica.com/featured/embarcadero-street-bill-gallagher.html

Another reminder that urban density & lush street trees creating a “Kissing Canopy” over the sidewalk and street are completely compatible. It’s actually PART of . You just have to make it a actual design priority. As this very dense block in my downtown neighbourhood illustrates.
