An impressive 2019 recital by a pianist who should be better known, Antonio Pompa-Baldi (head of the piano faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music). The first work on the program is the 2nd Hummel Piano Sonata in the best reading I've heard (at least among the performances on YouTube). The rest of the program is also well worth the audition.
Should I share fewer bumblebees on coneflowers? No, never! So here we go again, please be prepared for more photos of these fluffballs on beautiful purple flowers. 🙂
I'll try to mix it up with other photos if I manage to get any worthy of posting.
Rain and bumblebees are obviously not friends. When it poured heavily in the morning, I was able to find some bumblebees that were either hiding from the rain or just held out, but got soaking wet. 😄
This bumblebee seemed to have problems with its proboscis, at least it fiddled with it really hard and for a long time with its little legs.
Eventually it started again, but its proboscis stayed extended.
