Another idea to add to the mile long list in my head of ideas, soft fork Firefox and get rid of shit and do sane defaults (I hate having to tweak it every time I start with a clean Firefox). I know Librewolf exists but it breaks things despite promising not to, plus doesn't do all sane defaults.
I got an #idea to make "Once in a lifetime #trip to #Australia and/or #NewZealand. One of my friends promised to come along if I drive the car. (She doesn't have a driving license). There is a left hand traffic in both countries!! How will I cope with that? I heard that the spring time is worth seeing in both of the countries, so maybe we'll travel in Nov/Dec 2024! What do you think? #travelling
"Massive fuck you to #everyone who is talking about #Palestinians as if we’re already all dead and sharing more solidarity with our corpses than us living. “We will never forget the beautiful #Palestinian#people-“ how about you stop “making peace” with Palestinian extermination. My people are not going to be forgotten because we are going to live. Palestinians have already survived one #genocide and have been surviving one ever since.
Do not ever let the #idea that all Palestinians are going to die exist in your mind. Mourn the dead, fight like hell for the living."
There should be a standard for digital image formats that includes an AltText field that you could set once and then where ever that image appears online the AltText is automatically made available to screen readers and curious people. Set it and forget it kind of a thing.
Exif already has an ImageDescription tag that could serve this purpose. I edit most my stuff in Gimp and it would be nice to compose that text while I am most involved in thinking about the image.
