This is one of my favorite lenses, a Voigtlander Apochromatic wonder. So sharp, and also reasonably pretty. It's pretty much always in my bag. However, maybe not quite as pretty as a vintage lens…
I usually don't miss using film, at all. I know many still love it, but I've washed quite a bit of silver down the drain and that's that. This photo is film-y in a way that digital can't really do though. This one kind of makes me miss having a darkroom. I still have silver prints of this somewhere, but I print it nicely now with pigment ink.
I have exhibited some of these fiddlehead fern and daffodil photos before, but I don't think I've ever shown this one.
This is through a modern lens, which is very very good, when it's good, and when it's not, well, it's bad. It's sharp, but the bokeh is either among the most beautiful, or sometimes ugly at some apertures and distances. No complaints here!
Like the last one I posted, this was exposed with a good full frame camera through a great vintage lens, and the original is actually quite nice. I have not edited or published that. And I guess I just did this for a bit of fun, goofing around
Also from my stroll in the fog on Tuesday. I got a tick on that walk, first one I've had in some months.
Unedited and probably showing sensor dust, just converted to B&W.
