I don't know if any of you remember when I said I was going to make a #knit kit box to keep for when I was having a low energy day? On a good day, I did the cast-on so it would be ready?
Anyway, I did this and it worked brilliantly. No fuss with feeling overwhelmed or project indecision. I'm almost done the pair of socks! #disabled#LifeHack
Progress has been made. I push myself ahead before the ADHD fuel runs out and I abandon this jumper to start something new. I could really learn to like this piece!
It's another free pattern by Garnstudio and the yarn is Drops Merino Extra Fine knitted with a 4 mm needle in the round, top down, in one piece.
The Lord of the Rings scarf is done! I used the "For the Journey" scarf pattern from the Fellowship of the Knits book and turned it in to a cowl/snood
I still have a decent amount of this yarn leftover, so I may make a hat to match with this and the gloves I finished earlier in the week - but that will need more thinking before I start on it
I've made a start on one of the patterns from the Fellowship of the Knits book, I'm doing the For the Journey scarf, but I'm making it narrower than the original as I am using a larger weight yarn.
I had a couple of false starts with it as it's one you have to concentrate on but seems to be going well so far!
Yesterday, I finished this cropped jumper. It needs blocking because the bottom edge keeps curling up.
I made this with various sockweight yarns, but with 2 strands together and using 6mm needles.
I may turn it into a cardigan by steeking up the front like I did with my snowflake jumper, but I will see how it fares as a jumper before I make a permanent change!
I like to do an unfinished project inventory on New Year's Day, and this year I realized I'd never gone through my yarn stash looking for stashed projects.
I found three (!!!) unfinished sock projects. One is an unfinished second sock (not pictured) packed into a bag with all the yarn needed to finish.
What's pictured is an experiment in making socks with crocheted cuffs, based on an Interweave pattern.
Évidemment j'ai profité d'être de passage sur ma belle Côte d'Opale pour immortaliser une de mes dernières paires de mitaines ! Le modèle Agnès en coloris Mint n'est-il pas parfait dans ce paysage de fin de journée ?

Appreciating that the home heating bill will likely drop this winter because of this hat! Don't want to take it off, even indoors.
It was a gift from family this week, and it's super soft, warm, and so comfortable. And the craftsmanship — #indigenous made in #Canada, Skukum Designs by Carol Young — is supreme.
It's always the gifts I start first that get finished last. I've had this on my to-do list to give to a friend for ages. I like how the variegated yarn makes it look like the octopus is in the middle of changing its colours.
I'm very pleased with the octopus applique -- would use again. The natural twist of thin strands of knitting give the legs the same wriggliness as a real octopus'.
I'm working on sorting through my yarn stash so I can make a start on using it up rather than just having a lot of boxes around the house with random balls of yarn in.
I've got a lot of sockweight, DK, and chunky yarns - but this is super chunky, I dont have any other yarn the same weight, and I have no idea what to make with it - anyone got any suggestions?? #yarn#knitting#knit#knitter#crochet#crocheter#handmade#stashbusting#yarndiet
