And the XL-3030RGBC-WS2812B work flawlessly! All 5 boards turned on without any LED issues. So I'm gonna change the other side as well. This is the final version for the #PolyKybd Split72 😍 As you can see, these LEDs are slightly smaller, but I love them! #MechanicalKeyboard
Trying the 35mm Cirque Trackpad... Already works, mouse handling is much better compared to the 23mm version! The housing is a bit larger than the case, but I think that's not an issue 😁 #MechanicalKeyboard#PolyKybd
Finally finished the soldering and everything seems to work! Just couldn't test the stereo piezo buzzers yet, will need to write the QMK firmware first... In the meantime, here are the source and production files: https://github.com/kilipan/teenspirit
Some of you asked for keyboard porn :cch: :key_bananasplits: :key_lavender:
Akko MG108B Taro Purple (V3 Cream Yellow Pro Switches). Feels amazing while typing. Camera unfortunately doesn’t show the true colour too well though, it’s a lot less grey than it looks.
The newest version of my (mostly) xiao-compatible ch552t MCU board, Miao.
Now available at keeb.supply in this all new, pcba-friendly version: https://keeb.supply/products/miao
(I'll update the repo once I'm back home after the holidays)
Had this unbuilt keyboard prototype lying around for way over a year now.
Fully finished PCB with working firmware and everything.
Most of the parts for the case already 3D printed out just waiting for assembly (only thing missing is the switch backplate)...
I even got really nice looking color matching keycaps for it.
One of those projects I guess 😶
I should probably finish it...
I've been enjoying the key switches I picked up: Akko Cream Blues; and JWICK T1s.
The Akkos have a nice clack sound if that's your thing, however the bump is too light for me. There's a noticeable bump, definitely tactile... I'd likely recommend them to someone with "light" tactile who wants to try a "regular" tactile..
The T1s provide a proper speed bump (67gf) but the sound needs improvement to my ears. When I have the cash for better switches I'll branch out from here. #mechanicalKeyboard
Some #MechanicalKeyboard fans are celebrating the 40th day of year with #40sDay and photos of their keyboards that are 40% or less the size of a full size keeb.
Here’s my Unicorne by Boardsource and a custom cable by MechCables. Each half of the keyboard includes a joystick.
Post your daily driver keeb. Doesn’t have to be mechanical. Here’s mine (minus the artisans, they’re just window-dressing whenever I take it to meetups). #Mechanicalkeyboards#mechanicalkeyboard#mechkeys
7PM Pacific (two hours from now) I'll be doing a relaxing, no frills build #stream of my latest samd21pad macropad #keyboard PCBs to verify some final tweaks to them. Come join me at https://twitch.tv/petejohanson to see some fun drag #soldering action.
