A rose colored moon
lights up the #creek,
deep in the forest,
silently it sits,
until gravity drops,
dispersed,
runs for its life,
guided by turns
narrows&widens
hypnotized,
a cascade of
thoughts
take over,
gliding,
life endures
until the moon
turns icy cold
Arms flailing,
falling headlong,
grasping,
the #chasm looks
up at me,
its mouth wide,
ready to swallow me.
It's too late.
I am sleepwalking.
Tragedy just
around the corner,
a fact of life,
a simple oath
not taken very
seriously,
a falsehood,
enough to erase the
smile off my lips
Stirred, not shaken,
my #mocha latte quenches my thirst, invigorates my palate.
I need a little sweetness
to mitigate life's tartness.
It's a decadent, luxurious
treat I can't seem to miss,
don't look at the calories, though!
Now, if I can only win the Lottery, my happiness will be complete.
