    Had a super fun evening! Got to meet a Masto friend in person!! Also saw a drag king show that was hilarious, fun, sexy, and all around entertaining. Plus it raised money for a great charity! Highlight of the evening was definitely getting to turn an online friend into an IRL friend. 😄

    @QueenOfCoffee @RickiTarr One night after a delightful dinner where we all imbibed a bit much, a coworker drunk ordered us all gifts while in her Uber home. A few days later a pencil jar, a stuffed moose dressed as a Canadian Mountie, and a giant book of New Yorker cartoons arrived, which she distributed amongst us. 😂

    I find this woman to be a bit obnoxious but she knows her shit.

    This subtle change in eyeshadow application and eyebrow shaping seem to create a very noticeable difference. I might have to try this as my eyes turn downward at the outside corners and my hooded eyes are becoming more prevalent lately.

    This kitty jumped into my car on New Year's Eve, and the cat distribution system found them a foster home within an hour. I called this week, and cat is probably going to stay right where they are. I love a good foster fail. 😊

    I’ve mentioned a couple of times here and there about an annual challenge that’s coming up next month.

    So in another step to prepping for it, i got some new strings and last night, I strung up one of my guitars. I even got some strings for my old A-style mandolin. See?

    Haven’t played her in a lonnng time but what the heck. I might try and drag her out on one.

    Wearily I pick up my mobile device yet again. A dead weight in my hand and in my heart.     My parents got me these silicone baking mats for Christmas, and they come with a very specific warning:

    “Do not use the silicone baking mat when you bake pepper, onion, leg of lamb, and sweet potato.”

    It’s such a specific list in such a weird order, and I can’t figure out why these four things are forbidden.

    @RickiTarr This a sort of random, small thing, but the “McDonald’s coffee was hot and burned a woman” lawsuit. It gets held up as this frivolous and absurd thing, but it really wasn’t. McDonald’s knew they kept the coffee way too hot. The woman who was burned got very severe burns. She didn’t even demand an incredible amount of money from them. She asked to settle for her basic needs. McDonald’s refused to do the minimum, so it went to trial and all the stuff came out about how reckless they were being.

    There are FOR SURE frivolous lawsuits and it drives me crazy when people exploit the system when they haven’t actually been harmed, but this was not one of those times.

    @RickiTarr @Waitnwallflower Agreed! There is a whole universe of thoughts, events, activities, philosophies, art, etc. to talk about. Why on earth spend much time talking about items unless they are closely linked to one of the other things? Yuck.

    (Like, I can imagine being like “I’m so excited about the new gaming system I got, because I love gaming! My favorites are X, Y, and Z because they are so immersive.” As opposed to “I have this shiny widget. Look at how it is shiny. It has 500 widget-power and 16TB of widgetyness.”)

    My cat has been in a mood. Boo gets like this on occasion. He becomes fussy, ornery, and just impossible to please. He just upped his game by jumping onto the desk and screeching into the webcam as I guided a client through a meditation.

    Fortunately, the client has a sense of humor - and two cats of his own 😆 😹
