The number of kids being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has risen sharply in recent decades, and a new study points to the common plastic additive bisphenol A (BPA) as a potential reason why.

BPA is used in a lot of plastics and plastic production processes, and is also linked it to health issues involving hormone disruption, including breast cancer and infertility.

Marine mammals in U.S. waters are losing food and habitat to climate change, study finds.

Whales, dolphins and seals living in U.S. waters face major threats from warming ocean temperatures, rising sea levels and decreasing sea ice volumes associated with climate change, according to a first-of-its-kind assessment.

The impacts include loss of habitat and food, due to the consequences of warming waters, loss of dissolved oxygen and changes to ocean chemistry.

Wind and solar energy are the only sources experiencing growth globally, acquiring more share of the energy infrastructure and helping power sector emissions remain steady in the first half of 2023, according to a new study.

Solar energy, in particular, exhibited remarkable growth. At least 50 nations achieved new monthly records for solar energy generation in the first half of 2023.

Question:

Where is the best place to put Solar Panels? In a large undeveloped field (Farmland) or on top of parking lots and large buildings?

Answer below 👇

The easiest and cheapest places to install solar panels are often large, undeveloped plots of land. It's why, in many places across the country, we've seen rural areas — including fragile desert ecosystems and valuable farmland turned into solar farms.

Solar will likely play an important role in the country’s move away from fossil fuels but is there a smarter way to do it that doesn’t require taking up so much rural land?
