"Pivot to AI" is "Let's make our marriage open".

It's totally possible for it to go well and there to be something cool there, but, like, the odds that this is a last gasp, cover for some shenanigans, or just plain "Oh shit, we wrecked it" are very, very high.

The Luddites weren’t backward technophobes. They saw factory owners using tech to degrade their livelihoods and they fought back — first by trying to negotiate, then writing to Parliament, and finally smashing the machines.

As workers today organize and strike over bosses using digital tech to upend their industries, there’s a lot we can learn from the Luddites’ story. I was thrilled to dig into it with @brianmerchant!

Judging from my experiments making SubGenius rants and hymns with Chat-GPT, I can totally believe that some Christian congregation would use AI for worship purposes.

Their belief system is already fucked. I can't imagine AI could possibly make it worse.
