I struggle to report on today out of fear of being callous to the greater world. Please know that I have spent a lot of time worried today. Our climate is a problem, the politicians around the world seem dedicated to mutual destruction, price gouging and other things are rampant.

However, in the minute of the day. In the precious moments and tiny details...today has been very wonderful.

A small accommodation was made to help me feel at ease in a location. It wasn't major, nothing too troubling I don't think, and the venue agreed. I was able to attend with a much higher level of enjoyment and "normal".

It's not that I travel through the world crashing and breaking into things. I don't lumber through the world like a hulking monster seeking shelter from the storms. I am able to carry conversation, watch movies, and do a great many things that everyone else does. However, I need to pivot slightly to enjoy myself fully. I was just super grateful for the experience.

The weather is humid and gross, the windows are closed and the breeze is a cold and shivery gale. But I was treated like a valuable member of society with needs that should be met. That isn't something that always happens and I wanted to remark on it .

Youngest is having a sleepover tonight with about a million friends. Everyone else is out so I am ostensibly responsible for them. I genuinely have no idea how many children are currently in my house. Sounds like..... a lot.

I’m at the imaging lab. Traffic was light, so I’m early. There was so much great music playing during the drive, & it sure did ease my anxiety. Ian Hunter, T. I love how people are making this a Mastodon demon, and maybe there should be a Mastodon fix, but complaining about Mastodon because your public publishing platform can't handle up to 25K page hits randomized in a short minute or so, seems more on you & not the system getting the content

If these were deliberate users coming to view/read their link, it would be fixed by the complainers in an hour or so permanently

Bike ride today. Was planning about 30 miles. Did 6. Hot, grumpy. Was gonna pack it in but then remembered I had planned to go see the Yoda statue at Letterman in the Presidio. Then I had some lunch. Then I went to Tunnel Tops and painted. Then Sophia, my new friend, decided she wanted to try watercolor painting too. Best day ever.
